Bench to Mark Platinum Jubilee at Boughton Park

It is estimated that more than 16,000 street parties and events have been held in celebration of HM the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee this month, as communities across the country come together to celebrate Her Majesty’s 70 years on the throne.

In the quintessential English village of Boughton Monchelsea near Maidstone in Kent, Jubilee preparations have been in full swing, as the community have enjoyed their own royal celebration over the Bank Holiday weekend. The local Parish Council have also been involved in honouring her Majesty’s long reign, as they have recently unveiled a new Jubilee bench for the local community, which was supplied in collaboration with award-winning housebuilder Fernham Homes.

The new bench features a detailed inscription dedicated to Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee and was installed jointly by Cllr Andy Humphreys of Boughton Monchelsea Parish Council, and Fernham Homes’ Chris Loughead on Tuesday 24th June at Fernham Homes’ scenic Boughton Park development.

Boughton Park is a stunning collection of three-, four- and five- bedroom properties conveniently located just 3.5 miles from Maidstone town centre. Nestled within a leafy area in keeping with the quaint village of Boughton Monchelsea, Boughton Park was completed in 2021 and provides a collection of premium homes that boast contemporary interiors.

The new Jubilee bench has been installed at the open space at the Boughton Park development. Visitors to the bench will be able to sit and relax whilst looking out onto a large recreation ground that is available for the whole community to enjoy. The perfectly placed bench will encourage residents and visitors to appreciate the scenic greenery around them and will serve as a reminder of the momentous Platinum Jubilee weekend in 2022.
