Bellway North London has welcomed the first visitors to its premium new housing development in Cuffley.

The housebuilder opened the doors to King George’s Vale, off Northaw Road East, where it is delivering a collection of 121 two, three, four and five-bedroom homes built to a high specification.

The developer unveiled a new two-storey sales and marketing suite at the 12-acre site, which is just to the north of the King George V Playing Fields.

Food and drink were provided by local businesses who were on hand to offer snacks and drinks. Staff from LL Cocktails & Bubbles served Prosecco and beer, and Coffee Trike provided hot chocolate, coffee and tea.

Greg Allsop, Bellway North London Sales Director, said: “It was great to welcome guests to King George’s Vale to see the range of homes available while enjoying snacks and a drink on us.

“The superior specification of these premium properties and the desirable location make this a particularly sought after development and there was an extremely good turnout for the event, with more than 50 people attending.

“Our impressive new sales and marketing suite features a 3D model of the development, allowing potential purchasers to see exactly where particular homes will sit within the site. The large interactive screen was also a big hit as it enables people to get a real insight into the layout and specification of the homes.

“In addition to this, the top floor houses a display kitchen which showcases a wide variety of  sample materials and potential additions. Buyers can peruse options for cabinet doors, worktops, flooring and more – seeing firsthand the quality of options available to customers when they purchase a home here.

“As well as providing much-needed new housing, King George’s Vale will generate substantial investment in infrastructure and local services for the benefit of existing and future residents of this thriving and vibrant village community.”

As part of the planning agreement for King George’s Vale, Bellway North London is providing funding of more £2.2 million for local infrastructure and services. Contributions include £1,192,005 towards education, £156,332 for healthcare, £333,500 for highways and £444,215 for sports facilities.

The development will comprise 79 houses for private sale and 42 affordable homes for local people through shared ownership or affordable rent.

Properties will feature Google Nest smart thermostats, electric vehicle charging points and solar panels.

There’s currently a choice of two, three and four-bedroom homes available to reserve at King George’s Vale, with prices starting from £500,000. Express Move and Part Exchange schemes are available at the site.

The Yorkshire division of national homebuilder, Bellway is giving buyers in Skipton a chance to discover exactly what goes into building one of its homes, following the introduction of its House to Home experience on its Clifford Gardens development on the town’s Carleton Road.

The experience, which is exclusive to Bellway, provides visitors with the opportunity to find out more about the entire build process from pre-plaster to finished home in the company of a site manager.

Paula Murdoch, Bellway Yorkshire’s sales manager, said: “Our sales advisors are asked lots of questions about the building process and the House to Home concept was developed as a way of answering these in a unique way.”

“It also serves the purpose of showcasing the craftsmanship that goes into building a Bellway home, from the materials used to the placement of fixtures; the contemporary construction methods we use to our sustainable practices.”

The House to Home house on Clifford Gardens is designed to demonstrate the different stages of the build process; with the house split into first fix, second fix and final stages sections.

  • First fix is the work carried out after foundations, walls and roof have been built and before plastering is finished. It shows traditional building aspects like wall construction, pipework for heating and plumbing, and cabling for electricity and broadband; while also highlighting the steps taken to reduce energy bills and deliver a sustainable home.
  • Second fix occurs when plastering is complete. It covers the addition of various fixtures and fittings and the connecting of electrical fixtures. It also marks the phase during which a home really begins to take shape – with floors, internal doors, joinery mouldings, sockets and switches installed.
  • The final stage incorporates the jobs that turn a house into a home. Kitchens are installed, walls are decorated, carpets fitted and the property made ready for keys to be handed over to the buyers.

“Those who’ve already done the House to Home tour here in Skipton have all come away from it full of enthusiasm for what they’ve been able to see and find out about their new home,” added Paula. “Interestingly, the information the site manager provides about how best to care for a home after moving in – covering small details like how best to put up shelves, hang pictures or install wall-mounted TVs – has proved particularly popular.”

Being built on a 16.5-acre site off Skipton’s Carleton Road, Clifford Gardens features a strong mix of different home types and sizes, including two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes.  Prices currently range from £274,995 for a three-bed semi-detached Beswick to £544,995 for four-bed detached Sandringham with a double garage.

For further information on the development and to book a House to Home tour visit www.bellway.co.uk, call 01756 533028 or visit the on-site sales office which is open 10am to 5pm every Monday and Friday, 11am to 5pm on a Saturday and Sunday and 10am to 7pm every Thursday.

Bellway Thames Gateway is preparing to welcome visitors to a new homes development on the site of a former plant nursery in Swanley.

The housebuilder is delivering 60 new properties at Highlands Grange, on land off Highlands Hill, which was formerly occupied by Harrington’s Nursery.

The developer is releasing the initial collection of new homes for sale when it launches the site on Saturday (27 January).

Highlands Grange will consist of 36 two, three and four-bedroom houses available for private sale and 24 affordable homes, including apartments and houses, available for local people through shared ownership or low-cost rent. All homes will benefit from an electric vehicle charging point.

The development will feature public open space and a variety of ecological measures to protect wildlife, such as bat and bird boxes, insect hotels, habitat piles, and hedgehog highways. There are further plans for a community orchard and wildflower meadow planting to support and increase biodiversity on the site.

James Pitt, Sales Manager at Bellway Thames Gateway, said: “This is a highly anticipated launch as there has been a lot of interest in this development. Harrington’s Nursery was a very well-known business in the area and we are taking this five-acre brownfield site and transforming it into an attractive new neighbourhood bringing much-needed housing.

“This development is designed to provide a sustainable and ecologically friendly environment to benefit wildlife and also to encourage residents to connect with the natural world on their doorstep by providing green open space to explore.

“Meanwhile, Swanley Park, which covers 60 acres, is just a 15-minute walk away, with activities ranging from a well-equipped playground to a water park and a boating lake.

“Highlands Grange is also within walking distance of Swanley’s supermarkets, shops, pubs and cafes and has excellent transport links to London and the wider region. The train station, offering direct services into the capital within half an hour, is less than two miles away, while it’s also just over two miles from the M20/M25 junction and a 10-minute journey from the A2.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming the first visitors to the site at the launch and starting the process of helping people find their new home here.”

Bellway is building 60 new properties at Highlands Grange, comprising two, three and four-bedroom houses. Priced from £437,995 and £694,995 respectively.

The Yorkshire division of national homebuilder, Bellway Homes has welcomed in 2024 by putting up the sold out signs at one of its most popular developments in Yorkshire

Ambler’s Grange on Pocklington’s Yapham Road had been a strong favourite with home buyers since it was launched in late 2020; with its idyllic rural location at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds, and exclusive mix of two, three, four, and five bedroom homes combining to keep interest levels high from first release through to final sale.

Paula Murdoch, Bellway’s sales manager, said: “With some new sites you get a feeling just how popular they’ll be, long before the first brick is laid, and Ambler’s Grange was one of these.”

“Pocklington ticked so many boxes for so many people – a market town in the East Riding of Yorkshire, but in close proximity and with easy access to many of the region’s big towns and cities; with the A1M only a short drive away, and York and Hull city centres only a short distance away.”

“On top of that, Ambler’s was perfectly planned to deliver the kind of homes and location people buying in Pocklington wanted – i.e. larger family homes in a small, community focused development, with a range of excellent schools within a mile.”

“With the sold-out signs now up, and all homes soon to be occupied, it really is great to see we’ve achieved our aims of building a new community.”

For those who missed out at Ambler’s Grange, Bellway’s Yorkshire division is currently building a number of other nearby locations, including Wolds View, near Driffield, where a similarly exclusive development featuring a range of two, three and four bedroom homes is proving extremely popular.

Prices on Wolds View currently range from £164,995for a two-bedroom, semi-detached Milton to £314,995for a four-bedroom detached Acacia.

“We’re finding the new home market to be particularly buoyant at the moment – something I feel can be attributed to the careful planning of our developments, which means what we’re building in different areas is exactly what those buying in them are looking for,” added Paula.

A new residential development named after a war hero who fell in Ryhope is beginning to take shape, with the first homes now on sale, Bellways’ Barton Meadows.

Bellway is building 60 new homes at Barton Meadows, named in honour of RAF pilot Cyril Barton VC. The Flying Officer died after crash-landing his Halifax bomber in a field in Ryhope, avoiding houses and pit-head workings, following an overnight air raid on Germany in 1944.

Construction work began at the site to the north of Burdon Lane earlier this year, after plans were approved by Sunderland City Council.

The development will include 54 three and four-bedroom houses for private sale, alongside six affordable homes available for local people through rent or at a discount to market value.

The first homes are being sold from Bellway’s Hartwell Park development in Hartlepool, with a sales office planned to open atBartonMeadowsin November.

Hayley Teasdale, Sales Manager for Bellway Durham, said: “We have already seen a great deal of interest in Barton Meadows, especially as the story of Cyril Barton is quite rightly the stuff of local legend, and we’ve also had really positive feedback about the new properties we’re providing.

As a housebuilder based in the North East, we are part of the communities in which we build new homes and our extensive knowledge of the area means we can respond to the local need for housing.

People buying a new home here in Ryhope will be joining a thriving community, which benefits from well-regarded schools and local amenities, making this a popular place for families to put down roots.

Parents like the fact that St Paul’s CE Primary School, which was judged outstanding by Ofsted in its most recent inspection, is a short walk from the site, while there’s a further choice of schools for children of all ages within a mile of the development.

There are also sports clubs close by, including Ryhope CW Football Club, Ryhope Cricket Club and Sunderland RCA Football Club, which all add to the rich community life of the village.”

There’s currently a choice of three and four-bedroom houses available to reserve at Barton Meadows, with prices starting from £214,995.

The development will comprise 90 properties for private sale, including a mix of two, three and four-bedroom houses. The other 60 homes will be provided as affordable housing for low-cost rent or shared ownership and will feature a range of one to four-bedroom properties.

Jenny Walker, Sales Director at Bellway Essex, said: “Construction work has been progressing steadily since we started on site last spring and we are on track to complete the first homes atPoppyViewby the end of this year. This means we will be able to release the first homes onto the market and welcome visitors to the development very soon.

“We have already received a high number of enquiries from potential buyers. Saffron Walden is an extremely desirable market town and this development is conveniently situated just a mile from the town centre. We are expecting particular interest from commuters as Audley End railway station is just a 10-minute drive away.

“Buyers will be able to choose from a range of two, three and four-bedroom houses designed to cater for different tastes and budgets. A varied mix of affordable homes, which includes four bungalows and four apartments, will help to meet the diverse needs of local people unable to get onto the property ladder.”

Jenny said: “This will be a development which blends in with its peaceful rural surroundings while providing much-needed new housing in the area.

“We are retaining the trees and hedges which already exist on this site. In addition to that, we will create a green edge of nearly 1km by planting native hedgerow along with 190 new trees.

The first residents have moved into their homes at a new housing development in Kettering. Construction work is progressing well at Bellway at Hanwood Park, where the first houses have now been occupied by families.

Bellway is building 167 new homes at the site off Barton Road, which is part of the wider East Kettering Sustainable Urban Extension (SUE). The Bellway development will comprise a mix of 133 homes for private sale and 34 affordable properties available for local people through rent or shared ownership.

Luke Southgate, Sales Director of Bellway Northern Home Counties, said: “Since the launch of Bellway at Hanwood Park, there has been a great deal of interest in the properties we are building here. It is always a pleasure to be able to welcome the first residents into their new homes and we hope everyone has settled in nicely.

“It is a significant milestone when people move onto a site – the development really starts to take shape as it is transformed from a location where we are building homes into a place where families are living and calling home.

“The three and four-bedroom houses we are building here are appealing to a real mix of homebuyers. The development is ideally located in a semi-rural spot surrounded by acres of accessible countryside but just five minutes by car to the bustling town centre of Kettering.

“The development’s two expertly-dressed showhomes, the three-bedroom Dingley and the four-bedroom Rothwell, are proving very popular with visitors who can visualise how it would look and feel to live in one of our quality properties.”

The wider East Kettering SUE consortium development, called Hanwood Park, is planned to deliver around 5,500 new homes, a secondary school and primary schools, employment areas, open space and local shops and facilities.

Luke said: “At Bellway we pride ourselves on not only creating new neighbourhoods but building firm and lasting connections with the local community and recognising the importance of local heritage. At Bellway at Hanwood Park we have named some of the house types after villages and towns in the area and that has resonated well with local people.

“As a commitment to improving the life of the local community, we created a new outdoor learning area at the nearby Hayfield Cross Church of England School. The new area, which features a garden, mud kitchen, vegetable patch and a fire pit, has gone down very well with the pupils, the staff and the parents.

“There is a good choice of new homes for sale at Bellway at Hanwood Park but we expect the high level of demand to continue. Our advice to anyone thinking about moving here is to contact our sales team as soon as they can.”

Construction work is due to continue at Bellway at Hanwood Park until 2023. There’s currently a selection of three-bedroom homes available at the development, with prices starting at £282,500.

The first homes at a new development within the Barking Riverside regeneration scheme are set to go on sale next month. Bellway London is preparing to launch Eastbrooke Village, its latest contribution towards the rejuvenation of the former Barking Power Station site.

The new development will comprise 107 apartments, including 53 properties for private sale and 54 affordable homes for rent or shared ownership. Construction work is already underway on the site, which will feature a range of one, two and three-bedroom apartments.

Amie Triphook-Cole, Head of Sales at Bellway London, said: “The launch of Eastbrooke Village underlines our ongoing commitment to the Barking Riverside project and follows the success of our first development in the wider scheme, Fielders Quarter.

“We have already handed over the keys to 100 apartments at Fielders Quarter, where construction work is continuing, and we are looking forward to welcoming the first visitors to our latest development next month.

“The sales rates at Fielders Quarter demonstrate the growing appetite for new homes in the area, as Barking Riverside establishes itself as one of London’s most rapidly developing neighbourhoods and a destination of choice for buyers on all stages of the property ladder in the capital.

“Major investments in local transport infrastructure are significantly improving connections to the rest of the capital. Thames Clipper services are now running from the recently opened Barking Riverside Pier while the extension of the Overground line later this year will provide a direct link to national rail and Underground services at Barking.

“The range of apartments at Eastbrooke Village will provide options for buyers with varying needs, from families with young children needing more space to downsizers looking for a more manageable home with lower maintenance requirements. With just over half of the apartments at this development being allocated as affordable homes, we are also making a sizeable contribution towards much-needed housing association stock in the borough of Barking and Dagenham.”
